You might want to be well remunerated, as otherwise, it could feel as though there is not quite so much that you are getting from it. Whatever it is that you want from it, there is always a way to make sure you get it – but the first step is to actually believe that you deserve it.

A Sense Of Purpose
Something that a good job gives you is a feeling that you are doing something worthwhile of course, to be sure of feeling this way, you need to make sure that you are doing a job which is genuinely worthwhile, as this is not something that can be easily faked.
However, what is worthwhile is different for different people, so it’s all about whether or not you as an individual feel that you are doing something which is important in the world. It might be that you are doing something relatively humble, but you still feel it is important to you and therefore gives you this sense of purpose.
Or it could be that you want to change to a job which allows you to feel this much more easily or fully, which might mean moving to a career path which deals with bigger and more important concerns. In either case, it takes being clear on what you personally think is important in this world – and then forging ahead on that path, no matter what.
By enjoying this sense of purpose as best as you can, you will find that you are able to enjoy your work much more and that you will be much happier to go into the office each and every day. Without this sense of purpose, things can be much bleaker indeed.
A Feeling Of Opportunity
Of course, as well as being able to do something that you feel is important to the world at large, you might also be hoping for a job which enables you to have a sense of personal opportunity for yourself as well. This can be altogether a little harder to achieve, but the truth is that you will be able to get it just by ensuring that the work that you do is actually built in such a way that you are likely to move on, and that this is actually going to be highly possible.
What this means, of course, is up to you – it might be promotion, but there is nothing to say that it necessarily will be. In fact, you can find yourself feeling that any number of things are likely to give you this sense of opportunity, and it’s worth thinking about what you are hoping for as by investigating this feeling in yourself you will be able to get to the bottom of it easier and faster.
In any case, having this sense of opportunity will ensure that you feel you are getting much more out of your job and that it is giving you more of what you deserve as well.
Let’s be honest – you would not work for nothing, and nor would anyone expect you to. Being financially remunerated for your work is one of the main things that you need to be sure of if you are to fully and properly enjoy the job, so it is something that you will want to think about as early as you possibly can.
The pay can often start relatively low when you are new with a company, but it should increase over time if you remain with them, and especially if you have done good work with them as well.
If you have done everything that is expected of you or even more, then being paid is something that you are likely to want to happen, and that is only fair. No matter what job you have, even if it is a traditionally quite dangerous or risky one, you have the right to feel as safe and secure as possible while you are carrying out the work. If you at any point feel as though you are not genuinely safe, or as safe as can be, then you might find that it leads to much poorer work experience, and that is something which should be investigated as soon as possible.
There are certain things which your employer needs to be sure of by law, of course, but it goes beyond just that as well. You need to work for someone who genuinely appears to care for you and your safety, and does everything in their power to look after you in the workplace. If you are injured and you feel that your employer might be at fault, there are a number of steps you can take.
You might consider getting a personal injury lawyer and taking personal action in that way, or you might just want to report the people responsible so that a difference is made in the future. In any case, make sure that you are feeling as safe and secure as you possibly can in your place of work – and if not, take action.
There is nothing that says that your employer has to provide you with any particular benefits, of course, but they should offer you something, and in any case, this goes beyond just what they should be offering you by law.

Many workplaces for many people are the number one place in which they actually engage in social activity, and this might well be something that you are hoping for from your place of work. If so, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and you might want to think about whether or not your current job allows you to really enjoy spending time with people at least a little.
Of course, you should mostly be expected to work, and that’s fine, but you at least want to be able to work in an atmosphere in which people can talk to each other and get on with each other, and which has a light and enjoyable feeling about it.
